Account Manager

Summary: The Account Manager reports to the Sales Manager. He/she is responsible for generating new business, managing existing accounts, and developing strong relationships with customers. Works within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation and develop long-term account goals in line with the company vision and values. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sales success, excellent communication skills, and a passion for health and wellness.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop annual business plan in conjunction with Sales Manager, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, focusing on meeting or exceeding sales quota.
• Detailed understanding of pricing models and demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge to offer relevant solutions to customers.
• Demonstrate the ability to gather, submit detailed business information for underwriting, pricing and presentation of solutions to the identified customer’s business problems.
• Develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face, cold calling, trade shows, direct mail, email and networking.
• Create and conduct effective proposal presentations and RFP responses.
• Responsible for acquiring, maintaining, visiting, corresponding, servicing and developing customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, completed sales and follow-up activities within the assigned territory utilizing CRM software.
• Establish plans and strategies to penetrate new markets and customer accounts.
• Advise on forthcoming product developments, market trends, competitor information and suggesting special promotions.
• Coordinate, mentor and develop Sales Support Associates in responding and servicing customers.
• Trade show management and participation (including pre-planning, coordination of customer meetings, set-up and tear down).
• Attend training, seminars and workshops to develop relevant knowledge, technique and skills to further enhance sales skills.
• Any other duties deemed appropriate by management.


Job requirements:

• At least 3 years of sales experience in comparable industries.
• Proven ability to achieve sales quotas.
• Experience with enterprise software solutions to manage sales activities.
• Excellence in all aspects of Customer Relationship Management.
• Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree with business concentration, food, pharma, or biochemistry is required.
• Fluent in English.
